The death of corporate attorney Charles Dillon in a hotel room draws the attention of Green and Cassady, who soon discover that the firm he served is facing imminent indictment. Their inquiry leads them to Julia Veloso, a woman who works as a high-end call girl and who, it appears, shared a romantic history with Samantha Weaver, the company's CEO. Meanwhile, McCoy and Rubirosa find themselves diverging in their approach to the case, Rubirosa questioning whether McCoy’s pursuit of Weaver is motivated, at least in part, by her gender rather than by evidence of guilt.
