Anna took Duke into custody, reading him his rights, a scene that startled Lucy and Bobbie. The tension between Bobbie and Lucy quickly escalated into an argument. Michael entered the room and fired a shot into the air as Ava desperately tried to dissuade Sonny from taking her life. Michael then revealed his knowledge of Sonny’s affair with Carly and his role in AJ’s murder. He allowed Ava to leave, but not before delivering a scathing indictment of Sonny.
“You poisoned me against AJ,” Michael declared, his voice tight with fury. “You cost me my father, and now you will pay for it. I promised AJ, and I intend to keep that promise.”
Inside a motel room, Nina cared for Ava’s infant. Madeline arrived with provisions, a silent offering of food and baby supplies. A call from Franco brought news of the impending wedding. Madeline confessed to her daughter that she had orchestrated Ava's situation to uncover the true nature of Silas. Realization dawned on Madeline: Nina genuinely believed Ava’s child belonged to Silas and her.
Nathan offered to arrest Sonny for Dante, and they departed for the hospital. Back at her office with Duke, Anna listened as he attempted to rationalize his actions. Lucy arrived, offering to secure him legal counsel.

Ava collapsed near the pier, where Silas and Kiki discovered her. She gasped out that Nina and Madeline had taken the baby. At the Floating Rib, Franco offered Bobbie a drink and declared that Carly had received her just deserts. Morgan and Dante then learned that the murder weapon was gone.
