Deep in the Alaskan wilderness, seven ambitious food truck teams launch the most significant season yet of the Great Food Truck Race. Perched on Flattop Mountain with a panoramic view of Anchorage, Tyler Florence greets them to the challenge. Their first trial requires them to shatter the ice encasing their vehicles – two-hundred-pound blocks of frozen water – a mere prelude to the trials ahead. The competition will demand more than just skill; it will test their resilience against the unforgiving Alaskan climate as they strive to prepare and sell the most fare, and ultimately, determine who will have to abandon their culinary aspirations.
