On the Myrtle Beach boardwalk in South Carolina, nine teams gather for a culinary challenge. Tyler Florence tasks them with crafting the ideal dish for summer – one that is both perfect and easily transported. When an unexpected team emerges victorious, a sudden accident involving a food truck throws the competition into turmoil. Florence then presents a second challenge: each team must prepare a dish centered around a seafood staple. However, one team declines to participate. In the end, a team is eliminated, leaving eight to journey to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, prepared to fight for the grand prize of $50,000.
