In the X-ray room, John Henson witnesses a spirit engaged in some peculiar imaging. The resulting images, self-portraits of the spectral kind, are grotesque. He proposes to the bakers that they use these X-rays as guides for creating elaborate, spirit-themed desserts. Subsequently, the bakers descend into the lab's basement, where a heavy, secure door guards the portal to the underworld. However, recently, ghouls have been lax in their duties, allowing all manner of otherworldly beings to slip through. The bakers craft a portal entremet that dramatically reveals one such creature to the discerning palates of judges Carla Hall, Zac Young, and Stephanie Boswell.
