Joe Lycett presents as the final five contestants face challenges drawn from music and cinema, recreating garments and techniques seen on the silver screen. Initially, they must interpret a novel pattern – a dress inspired by Baby from *Dirty Dancing*, as judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young instruct. The creation of this iconic dance dress demands a closely tailored bodice and a flawlessly full circle skirt.
Next, the Transformation Challenge calls upon their ingenuity, much like Julie Andrews's Maria in *The Sound of Music*, as the sewers are tasked with repurposing old curtains into children’s play clothes.
Finally, the Made to Measure challenge transports them to the disco era, challenging them to design an outfit inspired by the film *Dreamgirls*.
