Patrick firmly tells Maxie that she bears no responsibility for Robin’s death. Maxie feels she should harbor resentment towards him, yet he cannot allow himself to dwell on his loss. Maxie’s arraignment begins, and she pleads guilty to all charges. Spinelli seeks out Jason, troubled by Maxie's situation. Jason tries to explain the depth of Maxie's grief to Spinelli, burdened by his own sense of responsibility for Robin’s passing. He believes that finding Lisa’s true killer is the only way to alleviate Maxie’s plight. Starr awakens, having spent the night on Michael’s couch. Following Sam's call, Steve informs Olivia that his mother is residing in a mental institution. He recounts her past dealings with him, including selling him contraband and attempting to drug his adoptive mother. Sam visits Heather at the institution, requesting details about the day Jason was born. Heather expresses a desire to be reunited with her son for the sake of providing that information. Sam shows Heather a photograph of Jason, questioning Franco's involvement. Heather reveals that the baby in the picture is not Jason.
