Sabaniye (1984)

This is a story about a young poet who works as a waiter and an impersonator. He's caught in a long-standing feud between two families. When tensions escalate, he devises a risky plan: he disguises himself as a female singer and enters the rival family's music competition. His aim is to reconcile the families and end the violence that has lasted for generations. As he deepens his deception, he faces increasing danger and must grapple with the moral cost of achieving peace.
