In the remote Gila Valley, Jim Slater seeks answers about his father's death, which occurred in an Apache ambush. He hunts for the sole survivor of that day, rumored to have escaped with a large amount of gold. Jim’s search attracts unwanted attention from dangerous people. He meets Karyl Orton, a woman pursuing her own goal, adding complexity to the story. As tensions escalate between groups in the area, increasing Apache violence and the threat of a wider conflict loom. Jim must navigate this dangerous environment while uncovering secrets that could fundamentally alter his life.
