This film adaptation of Neil Simon's play is set entirely within a luxurious suite at New York's Plaza Hotel, divided into three acts. The first act focuses on Karen Nash desperately trying to reconnect with her emotionally distant husband, Sam, as his infidelity threatens their marriage.
