Carolina arrives with her sister Celeste, confessing she faces imminent arrest. Carlos has orchestrated a fraudulent scheme involving a shell company designed to sell apartments, and she implores him to shelter her within the convent walls. Seeking a signal for a telephone, Carolina makes her way to Óscar's ranch, intending to speak with Celeste. However, upon discovering she is a woman, he threatens to expel her. Father Gabriel arrives at Óscar’s residence prepared to suggest Sister Celeste assume responsibility for Moisés’ education, but his proposal is refused. Haunted by the events surrounding Gloria, the women resolve to leave Monteverde. Yet, as they board the truck, it malfunctions, erupting into flames and endangering Andrés. Óscar intervenes, rescuing him from the blaze.
