On a solitary evening, factory owner Martin Koenen brought a girl back to his home. Irene Lersch had been leaving a nightclub and missed her bus. She was not entirely displeased by the attention of the older man; Koenen, however, was riddled with insecurities and a rigid demeanor. He offered Irene a drink before retiring to the bathroom for a shower. Upon his return, the girl was dead. Koenen’s resolve crumbled. Rather than summoning the authorities, he removed the body and disposed of it in a park.
