Bo and Hope uncover details about Melanie's captor: a man with a history of crime who had recently escaped from a mental institution. When they present Gabi with a photograph of Andrew, they name him, but she feigns ignorance. Chad recognizes the man from the Countess's shooting. Meanwhile, Sami and E.J. discover surveillance footage showing E.J. discarding the gloves and another person retrieving them. Will confronts Lucas angrily about the letter he delivered. Rafe, Roman, and Agent Spencer arrive at the DiMera mansion to arrest E.J. Melanie urges Andrew to relocate them as the tunnel begins to collapse. He departs to find a safer haven, leaving Melanie behind, who is then struck unconscious by falling debris.
