Lexie urged E.J. to step down from his mayoral post and support Abe as his successor. Though deeply fond of Lexie, E.J. found himself unable to concede to her request. He confessed to Lexie that he was not Stefano’s biological son, and that Stefano had all but rejected him. Meanwhile, Sami encountered Will at the DiMera mansion, and a tentative reconciliation began to bloom between them. Jack and Jennifer celebrated their anniversary and renewed engagement with Abby. Their joyous reunion was interrupted when Cameron happened upon them in the town square, and they were taken aback to learn he was Lexie's brother. Later, Jack received information from an undisclosed source indicating E.J.'s secret ambition to pursue a run for governor.
