In Madrid, the notorious con artist La Spada and his partner José plot a daring scheme after their release from prison: to create and sell a third version of Goya's famous painting, "Maya." They enlist the help of Scorcelletti, a skilled art forger based in Rome, who can perfectly replicate any artwork. With the assistance of the captivating Eva, La Spada’s group convinces art critic Francisco Montiel that a third Maya exists, leading him on a hunt to find it. As their plan nears completion, Scorcelletti unexpectedly returns from Rome with one of his other forged Maya paintings – a complication that threatens to unravel everything and plunge them back into turmoil.
