The shadowy Diabolicus unleashes chaos within the powerful Torre Alta family. Marquis Galeazzo di Torre Alta is murdered by the unseen assassin, leaving his three brothers and a sister vulnerable. Diabolicus systematically targets them all, except for the devout Monsignor Antonino di Torre Alta. Unable to enlist the police, Antonino devises a plan. He unexpectedly leaves his fortune to Pasquale Bonocore, Galeazzo's illegitimate son, currently imprisoned and considered incapable of such crimes. Antonino intends to use Pasquale to manipulate the situation. As the deception unfolds, the characters become entangled in a dangerous game with uncertain consequences. Diabolicus remains a hidden threat, leaving a trail of bloodshed and betrayal that forces survivors to question their loyalties.
