Sword of the Beast follows Gennosuke, a talented but minor samurai, whose life unravels when he's wrongly accused of involvement in a plot that leads to a minister's assassination. With help from another swordsman, Gennosuke gets a chance to clear his name and regain his honor in a feudal Japan marked by betrayal and struggle.
