Rugantino (1973)

Set in ancient Rome, the story follows Rosina, a beautiful woman in a troubled marriage. Her husband, powerful and intensely jealous, becomes involved in a crime after killing a wealthy man who had serenaded Rosina. This victim also represented a painful reminder of a secret her husband desperately wants to keep hidden. As he struggles with the consequences of his actions, their lives become a dangerous mix of love and despair, where any mistake could destroy everything they've created.
