Passengers on the Soviet cruise ship "Evgeni Onegin" face danger when a monkey accidentally releases the ship's cargo: tigers and lions bound for a circus. Chaos erupts as the escaped animals roam the vessel, leaving the crew and passengers trapped. The captain abandons his post, and the ship is left to the predators. Marianna, a courageous woman who sees the animals as individuals, steps up to lead the effort to regain control.
