When ambitious businesswoman Elyse Samford inherits her father's multi-billion dollar candy company, her life changes. A trademark lawsuit against a competitor leads Elyse to Higgins Attorneys and Sons, where lawyer Rob Carelli faces constant teasing from his boss and his sons. Despite his difficult workplace, Rob is immediately drawn to Elyse. As Halloween approaches, Elyse invites the firm to a lavish masked ball. Rob is ordered to work, but his niece Ruby persuades him to attend in costume. He shares a memorable dance with Elyse, and she finds herself longing to discover the identity of the charming "prince" and the romance he represents.
