This is the story of Peter Ibbetson, who suffers heartbreak and loss in Paris after his mother dies. Forced to leave his close friend Mary, he goes to live with his uncle in England. He becomes a successful architect, but doesn't find happiness until he works on a project for the Duke and Duchess of Towers.As they become friends, Peter discovers a surprising truth: the Duchess is actually Mary. This gives Peter and Mary a chance to be together again, but their happiness is in danger when the Duke challenges Peter to a duel. The film explores the complexities of love, friendship, and loyalty as Peter and Mary try to find their way to each other.
