A Finnish scholar travels to Russia to study the country's hunting traditions. While exploring the countryside, he meets a diverse group of people eager to share their experiences: a charismatic Army general, a police detective, a Zen Buddhist forest ranger, and three lively St. Petersburg residents. As they hunt together, the group’s friendly intentions lead to playful antics. Evenings are filled with conversation, laughter, and vodka, while days bring camaraderie and encounters with locals amidst the Russian landscape. The scholar discovers a new way of looking at life, love, and adventure. The film explores Russian culture through an outsider's perspective, telling a warm story about connection and shared experiences that bridge cultural divides.
