An 11-year-old boy is plagued by violent outbursts: tantrums, vomiting, attacks, and profanity, all without conscious memory. Strange occurrences happen around him – objects move inexplicably – but he has no recollection of these events. His parents, having exhausted other options, seek help from the Catholic Church. Father Bowden, a war veteran battling his own demons including PTSD and alcoholism, is tasked by the archbishop to conduct a series of exorcisms. This film recounts what is believed to be the final documented exorcism performed by the Catholic Church.
