Описание:
Zé, living in a poor community, considers his donkey his most prized possession. When the animal falls gravely ill, Zé desperately prays to Saint Bárbara for a cure. Miraculously, the donkey recovers, and Zé vows to carry a cross on a pilgrimage to Saint Bárbara's church, a journey mirroring Jesus'. As he travels to the state capital, Zé faces hardships and gains new insights that change his view of faith and sacrifice. However, upon arriving, a harsh priest dismisses the importance of Zé’s devotion, forcing him to question the true meaning of faith and belief.
