Недуг (2017)

In a realistic look at modern Rome, the lives of the residents of a working-class apartment building become intertwined against a backdrop of crime, drug dealing, and complicated relationships. Marcello, a married former body builder, has an affair with a professor. Meanwhile, an ambitious man and a drug dealer and his wife become involved with a local boss, hoping to climb the social ladder to the wealthy areas of the city that benefit from public funds. Several other residents struggle with their own difficult lives. The encroaching world of real estate development contaminates the lives of these lost souls, exposing the harsh realities of the city's underbelly and the cold indifference of its wealthier districts as two sides of the same problem.
