Kundun (1997)

'Kundun' recounts the story of the 14th Dalai Lama's exile from Tibet after China's invasion and imposition of a strict regime. The film follows the difficult choices the spiritual leader makes while fleeing to India in 1959. It highlights the historical importance of these events and shows the Dalai Lama’s strength and wisdom as he builds a new life in exile in Dharamsala. Using visuals and storytelling, 'Kundun' explores spirituality, cultural preservation, and the fight for human rights in the face of oppression.
