Описание:
Morgan Leafy, a secretary to the aloof British High Commissioner Arthur Fanshawe in Africa, becomes caught in a world of political maneuvering and romantic feelings. Fanshawe is unaware of the complicated situation around him and relies on Leafy to influence important local people for his own gain. Leafy is drawn to Hazel, a striking local woman, which further complicates things. At the same time, Sam Adekunle, a leading presidential candidate, asks Leafy to help persuade a respected doctor to oppose a profitable project, promising political rewards in return. As Leafy becomes more involved in this complicated mix of politics and desire, he must carefully balance diplomacy and his own values to stay safe and remain true to his commitments.
