This documentary film follows Italy's national team, "Azzurri," on their path to victory at the European Championships, from their first game to the final against England. For a month, a film crew lived alongside the team, capturing intimate moments with players and staff – during training, matches, travel, and celebrations. The film shares their personal stories, revealing their dreams, joys, struggles, and hopes. "Blue Dream, the road to Wembley" is the culmination of a year-long project with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) to document the team's journey leading up to the tournament, building on four episodes broadcast before the championships. It brings a fresh documentary style to a major television event. This project was developed by the New Formats Development Department.
