A series of brief scenes depict aspects of Palestinian life in Israel, set in a Nazareth neighborhood and at the Al-Ram checkpoint in East Jerusalem. The stories range from humorous to surreal, with minimal dialogue. A man suffers a heart attack while sorting his mail, and his son visits him in the hospital. The son has a secret rendezvous with a woman at Al-Ram, sharing intimate moments in a car. She boldly confronts Israeli guards at the checkpoint and later unexpectedly challenges soldiers at a shooting range. A red balloon drifts above, as neighbors dispose of trash over walls. Everyday life continues until it is disrupted.
