The Grissom Gang is a dark adaptation of the classic 1920s melodrama No Orchids For Miss Blandish. Kim Darby plays a society debutante who is kidnapped by the Grissom family, a ruthless group of criminals led by their matriarch, played by Irene Dailey. They are determined to get the ransom money.Within the family, Scott Wilson's character develops an unexpected connection with the innocent hostage, which creates tension and threatens the Grissoms’ already unstable relationships. While based on James Hadley Chase's novel, the film changes the original ending. This movie explores power, family loyalty, and the destructive effects of greed and violence in the past.
