49 Up (2006)

"49 Up" is the seventh film in a series that began 42 years ago. Inspired by the idea that early childhood shapes a person's life, the original documentary interviewed a group of seven-year-old children from across England about their lives and aspirations. Michael Apted, who worked on the first film, has revisited these individuals every seven years since, now interviewing them at ages 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, and now 49. This installment reveals significant life changes, surprising revelations, and features a larger group of the original subjects than ever before. They openly discuss topics like love, marriage, work, social class, and prejudice.
